Functions of Institute of Ethnic Science and Technology as to black heritage resources and programs.

The Institute of Ethnic Science and Technology shall serve as a state resource for reviews, research and informational update on planning, design and management of the park as an African-American state heritage resource and for support to the State Bureau of Tourism and Travel in the development of a black heritage program. Such institute shall also work with state universities for teaching, research and public service programs on Alabama black settlements and heritage resources.
