Section 41-9-1034

Impairment of boxer by alcohol or drugs.

It shall be unlawful for any boxer to participate or attempt to participate in a professional match, contest, or exhibition of boxing while under the influence of alcohol or any drug. A boxer shall be deemed under the influence of alcohol or a drug for the purposes of this section if a physical examination made during a period of time beginning not more than six hours prior to the beginning of the professional match, contest, or exhibition of boxing and ending not more than one hour after the completion of the professional match, contest, or exhibition of boxing reveals that the mental or physical ability of the boxer is impaired as a direct result of the use of alcohol or a drug.
