3-582. Arizona grain research and promotion council; appointment; term A. An Arizona grain research and promotion council is established that is composed of seven producers appointed by the governor. To be qualified for appointment to council membership a person must be a resident of and producer in this state. B. The term of office of council members is three years, expiring on January 31. The qualifications of members as provided for in this section must continue during their term of office or their office will be declared vacant. The governor shall appoint a person when a vacancy occurs to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. C. Members of the council shall serve without compensation but are entitled to reimbursement for subsistence and travel as provided by title 38, chapter 4, article 2.
