3-717. State egg inspection fund A. All fees provided by this article shall be paid to the department which shall issue a receipt for such fees. It shall report to the department of administration the total amount received from all sources and shall deposit, pursuant to sections 35-146 and 35-147, the amount in a special fund known as the state egg inspection fund. B. The director shall administer the fund. On notice from the director, the state treasurer shall invest and divest monies in the fund pursuant to section 35-313, and monies earned from investment shall be credited to the fund. Monies deposited in the state egg inspection fund: 1. Shall be subject to the provisions of section 35-143.01. 2. Are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190 relating to lapsing of appropriations.
