41-121.02. Department of state A. There is established the department of state, which shall be composed of the office of the secretary of state. B. The secretary of state shall have charge of and direct the department of state. C. Except as otherwise provided by law, employees of the department are exempt from chapter 4, articles 5 and 6 of this title. D. Purchases and contracts for goods and services entered into by the Arizona state library, archives and public records are exempt from chapter 23 of this title.
