41-1563. Duties A. The commission is designated as this state's sole coordinator of all aerospace and defense related commercial partnerships. B. The commission shall: 1. Provide technical support to the department of commerce, local and regional industrial development organizations, local agencies and other groups concerning infrastructure improvements and any other projects designated by the governor. 2. Adopt rules it deems necessary or desirable to further the objectives and programs of the commission. 3. Develop goals and objectives, establish guidelines, recommend legislation and provide general direction regarding this state's interests in aerospace and defense related commerce. 4. Make contracts and incur obligations within the general scope of its activities and operations subject to the availability of monies. 5. Subject to section 35-149, accept, spend and account for grants, monies and direct payments from public or private sources and other grants of money or property to conduct programs that are consistent with the overall purposes and objectives of the commission. 6. Have an official seal that shall be judicially noticed.
