49-283.02. Petroleum liability A release of petroleum or a constituent of petroleum, as defined in section 49-1001, that is a hazardous substance, as defined in section 49-201, shall be subject to the remedial and liability provisions of this article if the release is not otherwise subject to the corrective or remedial action provisions of section 49-1005, chapter 5 of this title or subchapter III of the federal act defined in section 49-921 (42 United States Code sections 6921 through 6939e), and the release has migrated in groundwater beyond the boundary of the property on which the release occurred.
