10-3-409. Compensation of Legislative Auditor and employees -- Cooperation with Council of State Governments -- Reimbursement.

(a) (1) The Legislative Auditor of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee shall be entitled to such salary as may be authorized by appropriation of the General Assembly.

(2) All other employees of the Committee shall receive such remuneration as may be provided by the biennial appropriations.

(b) The Committee is authorized to cooperate with the Council of State Governments and with national and regional organizations established to study governmental problems and may authorize one (1) or more of its members to attend the meetings thereof which the Committee deems appropriate. Any member of the Committee attending the meetings shall be reimbursed only for actual and reasonable expenses for transportation, meals, lodging, and other necessary expenses.
