SECTION 9151-9155
9151. A resource conservation district may be formed pursuant to
this division for the control of runoff, the prevention or control of
soil erosion, the development and distribution of water, and the
improvement of land capabilities.
9152. The lands included in a district shall be those generally of
value for agricultural purposes, including farm and range land useful
for the production of agricultural crops or for the pasturing of
livestock, but other lands may be included in a district if necessary
for the control of runoff, the prevention or control of soil
erosion, the development and distribution of water, or land
improvement, and for fully accomplishing the purposes for which the
district is formed.
9153. The lands included in any one district need not be contiguous
but they shall be susceptible of the same general plan or system for
the control of runoff, the prevention or control of soil erosion,
and the development and distribution of water, or land improvement.
No lands may be included in more than one district.
9154. The lands included in any one district may be situated in one
or more counties.
9155. The lands included in a district may be publicly owned or
privately owned.
