SECTION 1260-1266
1260. Every application for a permit to appropriate water shall set
forth all of the following:
(a) The name and post office address of the applicant.
(b) The source of water supply.
(c) The nature and amount of the proposed use.
(d) The location and description of the proposed headworks, ditch
canal, and other works.
(e) The proposed place of diversion.
(f) The place where it is intended to use the water.
(g) The time within which it is proposed to begin construction.
(h) The time required for completion of the construction.
(i) The time for the complete application of the water to the
proposed use.
(j) All data and information reasonably available to applicant or
that can be obtained from the Department of Fish and Game concerning
the extent, if any, to which fish and wildlife would be affected by
the appropriation, and a statement of any measures proposed to be
taken for the protection of fish and wildlife in connection with the
appropriation.
(k) Sufficient information to demonstrate a reasonable likelihood
that unappropriated water is available for the proposed
appropriation.
1261. All applications shall be accompanied by as many copies of
such maps, drawings, and other data as may be prescribed or required
by the board, and such maps, drawings, and other data are part of the
application.
1262. If for agricultural purposes the application shall give the
legal subdivisions of the land and the acreage to be irrigated, as
near as may be.
1263. If for power purposes the application shall state the nature
of the works by means of which the power is to be developed, the head
and amount of water to be utilized, and the use to which the power
is to be applied.
1264. If for municipal water supply the application shall state the
present population to be served, and, as near as may be, the future
requirements of the city.
1265. If for mining purposes the application shall state the nature
and location of the mines to be served and the methods of supplying
and utilizing the water.
1266. If for storage in a reservoir the application shall state the
height of dam, the capacity of reservoir, and the use to be made of
the impounded waters, except that for storage underground these
additional requirements as to height of dam and capacity of reservoir
shall be given as near as may be.
