      Sec. 10-145e. Certification for occupational subjects. Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, or of any special act or of the regulations promulgated by the State Board of Education pursuant to section 10-145d, to the contrary, any individual who, prior to July 1, 1977, was employed as an occupational instructor by a local or regional board of education or the State Board of Education and who held an occupational certificate on said date, shall qualify for and be granted a standard certificate as an occupational instructor.
