      Sec. 10a-170d. Selection of high technology assistantship recipients. Regulations. The Board of Governors of Higher Education shall annually appoint a committee of graduate faculty members to recommend award recipients to the Commissioner of Higher Education. The committee shall consider affirmative action and equal opportunity goals when recommending award recipients to the commissioner. The board shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, to carry out the provisions of this section and sections 10a-170a to 10a-170c, inclusive, which shall include, but not be limited to, criteria for the selection of graduate assistantship candidates and the development of a timetable and application process.

      History: P.A. 84-241 added "of higher education" to board of governors' title; P.A. 93-201 changed the description of the program from "scholarship" to "assistantship" and provided for recommendations to the commissioner rather than the department, effective July 1, 1993.
