      Sec. 13b-406. (Formerly Sec. 16-300). Transfer of certificate or permit. Any 
certificate or permit may be assigned and transferred by the holder, his assignee, receiver 
or trustee, or by the holder's personal representative or the surviving partner or partners 
of the deceased partner's personal representative to whom the rights and privileges under 
such certificate or permit shall pass at the death of the holder. The Commissioner of 
Transportation may prescribe the conditions precedent to such transfer and may make 
any necessary regulations pertaining thereto. Each application for such transfer shall be 
accompanied by a fee of fifty dollars.

      History: 1967 act imposed fifty-dollar fee for transfer application; P.A. 75-486 replaced public utilities commission 
with public utilities control authority; P.A. 77-614 replaced authority with division of public utility control within the 
department of business regulation, effective January 1, 1979; P.A. 80-482 made division an independent department and 
deleted reference to abolished department of business regulation; P.A. 88-249 transferred powers and duties from public 
utility control department to transportation department, amending section as required by section 2 of the act (codified as
