      Sec. 16-278. Compliance with orders. Any corporation subject to this chapter 
shall comply immediately with any order of the Department of Public Utility Control 
made in accordance with section 16-271, 16-274 or 16-275 and any company failing to 
comply with any such order shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars for each 
offense and shall reimburse any person whose property is damaged as a result of such 
failure for the amount of such property damage and shall be liable in double damages 
for any injury resulting to any person from such failure.
