Sec. 17a-214. (Formerly Sec. 19a-461). Acceptance of gift or devise by Department of Developmental Services. The Commissioner of Developmental Services may
accept and receive, on behalf of the Department of Developmental Services, any bequest
or gift of money or personal property and, subject to the consent of the Governor and
Attorney General as provided in section 4b-22, any devise or gift of real property to the
Department of Developmental Services, and may hold and use such property for the
purposes, if any, specified in connection with such bequest, devise or gift.

History: Sec. 19-570a transferred to Sec. 19a-461 in 1983; Sec. 19a-461 transferred to Sec. 17a-214 in 1991; pursuant
to P.A. 07-73 "Commissioner of Mental Retardation" and "Department of Mental Retardation" were changed editorially
by the Revisors to "Commissioner of Developmental Services" and "Department of Developmental Services", effective
October 1, 2007.
