      Sec. 17a-279. (Formerly Sec. 19a-453). Return of placed-out or escaped persons. The written request of the superintendent shall be sufficient warrant to authorize any officer of a training school or other facility or any officer authorized to serve criminal process to return to the institution any resident placed out or who has escaped from the institution, and such officer shall hold such person when so requested and shall be paid for such service such fees as are provided for arresting and holding persons under criminal process.
