      Sec. 19a-61. (Formerly Sec. 19-22b). Services for children suffering from diabetes. The Department of Public Health shall establish and administer a program of 
services for children suffering from diabetes. Diabetic centers for children shall be geographically located so as to conveniently serve the population of the state. Such centers 
shall provide medical evaluations for the children and counseling and education concerning the disease for the children and their families, or other such services as are 
necessary to accomplish the purposes of this section. The staff of each center may include, but shall not be limited to, a nurse practitioner, dietitian, physician and social 
case worker.

      History: Sec. 19-22b transferred to Sec. 19a-61 in 1983; P.A. 93-381 replaced department of health services with
