Sec. 21a-86b. Compliance with standards. No person may sell, offer for sale or
install any new showerhead, urinal, faucet or replacement aerator on and after October
1, 1990, or any new tank-type toilet, flushometer-valve toilet, flushometer-tank toilet or
electromechanical hydraulic toilet on and after January 1, 1992, unless such showerhead,
urinal, faucet, replacement aerator, tank-type toilet, flushometer-valve toilet, flushometer-tank toilet or electromechanical hydraulic toilet meets or exceeds the efficiency
standards set forth in regulations adopted by the Commissioner of Consumer Protection
pursuant to subsection (a) of section 21a-86a, or is authorized under the regulations
adopted by the commissioner pursuant to subsection (d) of said section.

and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6, thereby
reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004.
