      Sec. 22a-339a. Grants to improve water quality of lakes used for public recreation. The Commissioner of Environmental Protection may make a grant to any municipality or lake association for a project to improve the water quality of a lake used for public recreation. As used in sections 22a-339a to 22a-339e, inclusive, (1) "project" means any diagnostic feasibility study associated with eutrophication abatement, lake management activities or watershed management or any implementation measure designed to improve or restore water quality and (2) "lake association" means a district established by special act or pursuant to section 7-325, authorized to make appropriations, levy taxes and perform lake management functions.
