      Sec. 22a-357. (Formerly Sec. 25-6). Special reports. The Governor may, at any time, require the Commissioner of Environmental Protection to secure the necessary information and submit a special report upon any of the matters contained in sections 22a-337 and 22a-350, and if the Governor finds, upon an examination of such report, that the interests of the state require, or that there exists a serious menace to the lives or property of the people of the state, he may order the commissioner to take such action as the Governor determines to be necessary to protect the interests of the state or the lives or property of its citizens. In such case, the Governor may make available, out of the civil list funds of the state not otherwise appropriated, a sufficient sum or sums required to protect such interests.
