Sec. 27-8. Governor's Guards to be organized militia.

      Sec. 27-8. Governor's Guards to be organized militia. The Governor's Guards, subject to the provisions of their charters and of the general statutes as to organization, training and discipline, shall be organized militia, with the immunities and privileges provided by law, and, in time of war, invasion, rebellion or riot or reasonable apprehension thereof, may be ordered out by the Governor for duty.
