Sec. 32-9ff. Connecticut brownfields remediation account.

      Sec. 32-9ff. Connecticut brownfields remediation account. (a) There is established an account to be known as the "Connecticut brownfields remediation account" which shall be a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund. The account shall contain any moneys required by law to be deposited in the account and shall be held separate and apart from other moneys, funds and accounts. Investment earnings credited to the account shall become part of the assets of the account. Any balance remaining in the account at the end of any fiscal year shall be carried forward in the account for the next fiscal year.

      (b) The Office of Brownfield Remediation and Development, established in subsections (a) to (f), inclusive, of section 32-9cc may use amounts in the account established pursuant to subsection (a) of this section to fund remediation and restoration of brownfield sites as part of the pilot program established in subsection (c) of section 32-9cc.
