Sec. 36a-350. Permitted investments.
Sec. 36a-350. Permitted investments. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this
section and sections 36a-351 and 36a-352, a Connecticut bank may invest funds and
assets held by it in a fiduciary capacity in those investments in which a trustee may
invest trust funds under the provisions of section 45a-203, and unless otherwise provided
in said section, in such other investments as are authorized by the instrument, judgment,
decree or order creating a trust or other fiduciary relationship or appointing a fiduciary
and may sell or mortgage any real estate held by it in a fiduciary capacity.
(b) Except as otherwise expressly provided in the instrument, judgment, decree
or order creating a trust or other fiduciary relationship or appointing a fiduciary, all
investments of funds and assets held by a Connecticut bank in a fiduciary capacity (1)
shall be invested with the care of a prudent investor in like circumstances, and (2) subject
to compliance with subdivision (1) of this subsection, may be invested in time deposits
or savings deposits of such bank provided the bank is authorized to accept deposits.
