      Sec. 36a-410a. Mergers between Connecticut and out-of-state banks authorized. Interstate branching. It is the purpose of public act 95-155* to permit interstate 
merger transactions between banks in Connecticut and out-of-state banks prior to June 
1, 1997, and to permit de novo interstate branching, in response to the Riegle-Neal 
Interstate Banking and Branching Efficiency Act of 1994, P.L. No. 103-328, 108 
Stat. 2338.
