      Sec. 54-71a*. No civil liability for release. No bail commissioner, no employee of any police department, no state's attorney or assistant state's attorney and no municipality may be held liable in a civil action for damages on account of the release of any person under any of the provisions of sections 54-63a to 54-63g, inclusive, 54-64a, 54-64b and 54-69.
