553.62 State standard.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s excavation safety standards, 29 C.F.R. s. 1926.650 Subpart P, are hereby incorporated as the state standard. The 1Department of Labor and Employment Security may, by rule, adopt updated or revised versions of those standards, provided that the updated or revised versions are consistent with the intent expressed in this act and s. 553.72, and are not otherwise inconsistent with state law. Any rule adopted as provided in this section shall be complied with upon its effective date.
