   20-2-944.    Letters of reprimand 
      A  local school superintendent may write a letter of reprimand to a  teacher or other school employee for any valid reason. A copy of the  letter of reprimand is to remain in the teacher's or employee's  permanent personnel file, and the teacher or employee receiving such a  letter of reprimand shall have the right to appeal the decision of the  superintendent to the local board of education, the hearing to be  conducted according to this part. The local board shall have the right  either to affirm the decision of the superintendent or to reverse it.
