   43-24A-6.    Meetings of the board; officers and committees 
      The  board shall meet at least once each year at a time fixed by the board.  At its annual meeting, the board shall elect from its members a  chairperson, vice chairperson, and any other officers as deemed  necessary who shall hold office for a term of one year. Additionally,  the board may appoint such committees as it considers necessary to  fulfill its duties.
