53-7-71. (Pre-1998 Probate Code) Timely request by heir or creditor as prerequisite to appraisement

Any provisions of this article to the contrary notwithstanding, the property shall not be appraised unless a request for an appraisement is filed with the judge of the probate court by an heir, beneficiary, or creditor of the decedent within 90 days after the administrator or executor files his inventory.
