53-7-73. (Pre-1998 Probate Code) Time of execution of warrant of appraisement; recordation of reasons for delay


The warrant of appraisement shall be executed, except when execution is prevented by providential causes, within 60 days after the same is issued, and the inventory and appraisement shall be returned to the judge of the probate court within four months after the issuance of the warrant. If the execution or return is delayed beyond the periods specified, the judge shall inquire into the reason and place the same on his record with the return.
