53-8-24. (Pre-1998 Probate Code) Sale of real property generally -- Advertisement; time, place, and manner of sale

Every sale under Code Section 53-8-23 shall be advertised in a newspaper having a general circulation in the county where the property to be sold is located, once a week for four weeks after the leave is granted and before the sale. The sale shall be by public auction on the first Tuesday of the month, between the usual hours of sale and at the place of public sales in the county having jurisdiction of the administration, unless by special order, in the discretion of the judge of the probate court, real property located in another county is sold in that county.
