(225 ILCS 705/9.01) (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 901)     Sec. 9.01. No person under the age of 18 years shall be permitted to do any manual labor in or about any mine. (Source: P.A. 79‑876.)

(225 ILCS 705/9.02) (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 902)     Sec. 9.02. Before any person may be permitted to work in any mine he must furnish, to the mine manager or other official, an affidavit from his parent or guardian or next of kin, sworn and subscribed to before a notary public, that he is 18 or more years of age. (225 ILCS 705/9.03) (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 903)     Sec. 9.03. The parent, guardian or next of kin shall submit in connection with said affidavit, a certificate of birth, a baptismal certificate, a passport or other official or religious record of the person's age or duly attested transcript thereof, which certificate or transcript thereof shall, for the purposes of this Act, establish the age of said person. (225 ILCS 705/9.04) (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 904)     Sec. 9.04. Any person swearing falsely in regard to the age of any person shall be guilty of perjury, and shall be punished as provided in the statutes of the State pertaining to perjury. (Source: P.A. 9‑876.)
