(45 ILCS 17/90‑5)     Sec. 90‑5. Severability. If any Section, sentence, clause, or provision of this Act or any application thereof to any person or circumstance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the other provisions or applications of this Act which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional application or provision, and to this end the provisions of this Act are declared to be severable. (45 ILCS 17/90‑95)     Sec. 90‑95. No acceleration or delay. Where this Act makes changes in a statute that is represented in this Act by text that is not yet or no longer in effect (for example, a Section represented by multiple versions), the use of that text does not accelerate or delay the taking effect of (i) the changes made by this Act or (ii) provisions derived from any other Public Act.
