(730 ILCS 5/8‑4‑1) (from Ch. 38, par. 1008‑4‑1)     Sec. 8‑4‑1. Severability of invalid provisions.     If any provision of this Code or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this Code which can be given effect without the invalid application or provision, and to this end the provisions of this Code are declared to be severable.
