Chapter 17. County Child Advocacy Fund

"Fund" defined
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "fund" refers to the county child
advocacy fund established by section 2 of this chapter.

Establishment of fund; purpose
Sec. 2. A county child advocacy fund is established in each
county for the purpose of assisting the county in developing
interdisciplinary responses to child abuse and neglect situations. The
fund consists of amounts deposited under IC 33-37-7-2(d).

Administration of fund; expenses
Sec. 3. The county auditor shall administer the fund. Expenditures
from the fund shall be made in accordance with appropriations made
under section 5 of this chapter.

Reversion
Sec. 4. Money in the fund at the end of a county fiscal year does
not revert to any other fund.

Use of fund
Sec. 5. A county fiscal body shall annually appropriate from the
fund amounts allocated by the county legislative body for use at the
discretion of the county legislative body to address child abuse and
neglect prevention or intervention.
