IC 2-3-2-1
Rights of surviving spouse or relatives
Sec. 1. In case a member of the general assembly should die priorto the expiration of the term for which he was elected his unpaidsalary for the term shall be paid to his surviving spouse; in case heis not survived by a surviving spouse then such payment shall be paidto his dependent child or children; and in case he is not survived bya dependent child or children then such payment shall be paid to hisparent or parents and to no other.
