Chapter 14. Unlawful Solicitation

"Attorney" defined
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "attorney" means an individual in
good standing admitted to the practice of law in Indiana or another
state.

IC 35-45-14-2
Unlawful solicitation
Sec. 2. A person who is not an attorney and who:
(1) knowingly or intentionally solicits, advises, requests, or
induces another person to bring an action in a court; and
(2) in making a solicitation under subdivision (1), directly or
indirectly receives any compensation, fee, or commission from
the attorney for the solicitation;
commits unlawful solicitation, a Class A misdemeanor.
