13.23 - PERSONS ELIGIBLE FOR LEGAL ASSISTANCE. - Iowa Statutes

13.23 PERSONS ELIGIBLE FOR LEGAL ASSISTANCE. A person may obtain legal representation and legal assistance from the contracting legal services provider if the person meets all of the following criteria: 1. Is a resident of the state of Iowa. 2. Is a farmer, or a family shareholder of a family farm corporation, and has an occupation of farming. 3. Is engaged in a farm business that has a debt-to-asset ratio greater than fifty percent. 4. Has received less than twenty thousand dollars of taxable income in the last taxable year. 5.
