476.17 PEAK-LOAD ENERGY CONSERVATION. 1. The board may promulgate rules pursuant to chapter 17A which require or authorize a public utility to establish peak-load management procedures. 2. Rules of the board shall relate to reducing or limiting the peak-load period consumption. 3. In promulgating rules under this section, the board is not bound by decisions, rulings or orders which relate to the definitions of types or classes of customers and which were issued by the Iowa state commerce commission prior to July 1, 1980.          Section History: Early Form [C81, § 476.17]
