486A.1213 RESIGNATION OF REGISTERED AGENT. 1. The registered agent of a partnership may resign the agency by delivering to the secretary of state for filing a statement of resignation, which shall be accompanied by two exact or conformed copies of such statement. The statement of resignation may include a statement that the registered office is also discontinued. 2. After filing the statement of resignation, the secretary of state shall deliver one copy to the registered office of the partnership and the other copy to the chief executive office of the partnership. 3. The agency appointment is terminated, and the registered office discontinued if so provided, on the thirty-first day after the date on which the statement of resignation was filed.          Section History: Recent Form 98 Acts, ch 1201, §72, 79, 82 Referred to in §486A.1205
