512B.13 - INSTITUTIONS.
512B.13 INSTITUTIONS. A society may create, maintain, and operate, or may establish organizations to operate, not-for-profit institutions to further the purposes permitted by section 512B.6, subsection 1, paragraph "b". The institutions may furnish services free or at a reasonable charge. Any real or personal property owned, held, or leased by the society for this purpose shall be reported in every annual statement. A not-for-profit institution so established is a charitable institution with all the rights, benefits, and privileges given to charitable institutions under the Constitution and laws of the State of Iowa.
