639.37 COMMON OR JOINT PROPERTY. In executing an attachment against a person who owns property jointly or in common with another, the officer may take possession of such property so owned jointly or in common, sufficiently to enable the officer to inventory and appraise the same, and for that purpose shall call to the officer's assistance three disinterested persons; which inventory and appraisement shall be returned by the officer with the attachment, and such return shall state who claims to own such property.          Section History: Early Form [R60, § 3190; C73, § 2973; C97, § 3904; C24, 27, 31, 35, 39, § 12113; C46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 71, 73, 75, 77, 79, 81, § 639.37] Analogous provision, § 626.32
