97B.19 REVISION FOR ERROR.
If following the delivery of the statement provided in section
97B.18, it is brought to the attention of the system that any entry
of wages in its records is erroneous, or that any item of wages has
been omitted from the records, the system may correct the entry or
include the omitted item in its records, as the case may be. Written
notice of any revision of any entry which is adverse to the interest
of any individual shall be given to the individual in any case where
the individual has previously been notified by the system of the
amount of wages and of the period of payments shown by the entry.
Upon request in writing, the system shall afford any individual, or
after the individual's death shall afford the individual's
beneficiary or any other person so entitled in the judgment of the
system, reasonable notice and opportunity for hearing with respect to
any entry or alleged omission of wages of the individual in such
record, or any revision of any entry. If a hearing is held, the
system shall make findings of fact and a decision based upon the
evidence adduced at the hearing and shall revise its records
accordingly. Judicial review of action of the system under this
section may be sought in accordance with the terms of the Iowa
administrative procedure Act, chapter 17A, and section 97B.29. Section History: Early Form
