135.174 LEAD AGENCY AND OTHER STATE AGENCIES. 1. The lead agency for support of the early childhood Iowa council for state agency efforts to develop an early childhood system for Iowa shall be the department of public health. 2. The department shall work with the early childhood Iowa council in integrating early care, health, and education systems to develop an early childhood system for Iowa. The department shall do all of the following in developing the system: a. Work with state agencies to enter into memorandums of understanding outlining the agencies' responsibilities in the system. b. Work with private businesses, foundations, and nonprofit organizations in implementing a public-private partnership to develop and provide funding for the system. c. Maintain an internet site for distributing the information provided through the council and its component groups.          Section History: Recent Form 2008 Acts, ch 1187, §110
