136A.1 - PURPOSE. - Iowa Statutes

136A.1 PURPOSE. To reduce and avoid adverse health conditions of inhabitants of the state, the Iowa department of public health shall initiate, conduct, and supervise screening and health care programs in order to detect and predict congenital or inherited disorders.
