163.27 BOILING GARBAGE. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, partnership, or corporation to feed garbage to animals unless such garbage has been heated to a temperature of two hundred twelve degrees Fahrenheit for thirty minutes, or other acceptable method, as provided by rules promulgated by the department, provided this requirement shall not apply to an individual who feeds to the individual's own animals only the garbage obtained from the individual's own household.
