184.8 ELECTION AND APPOINTMENT PROCEDURES. 1. The council shall appoint a committee to nominate candidates to stand for election to the council. The council may require that the committee nominate candidates to be appointed by the council to fill a vacancy in a position for the unexpired term of a member. 2. The council shall appoint a producer to fill a member's position occurring because of a vacancy on the council. The person appointed to fill the vacancy must meet the same requirements as a person elected to that position. The person shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. 3. The council shall provide a notice of an election for members of the council by any means deemed reasonable by the council.
