222.50 COUNTY OF LEGAL SETTLEMENT TO PAY. When the proceedings are instituted in a county in which the person who is alleged to have mental retardation was found but which is not the county of legal settlement of the person, and the costs are not taxed to the petitioner, the county which is the legal settlement of the person shall, on presentation of a properly itemized bill for such costs, repay the costs to the former county.
