249A.11 PAYMENT FOR PATIENT CARE SEGREGATED. A state resource center or mental health institute, upon receipt of any payment made under this chapter for the care of any patient, shall segregate an amount equal to that portion of the payment which is required by law to be made from nonfederal funds except for any nonfederal funds received through the expansion population program pursuant to chapter 249J which shall be deposited in the IowaCare account created pursuant to section 249J.24.
