252.18 - FOREIGN PAUPERS.

252.18 FOREIGN PAUPERS. 1. A person who is a county charge or is likely to become so, coming from another state and not having acquired a settlement in a county of this state or any such person having acquired a settlement in a county of this state who moves to another county, may be removed from this state or from the county into which the person has moved at the expense of the county where the person is found, upon the petition of the county to the district court in that county. 2. The court or judge shall fix the time and place of hearing on said petition and prescribe the time and manner of service of the notice of such hearing. 3.
